Sergio Salis – Prosthodontist
London Street’s principal Prosthodontist, Sergio is a specialist in the aesthetic restoration and replacement of teeth. As well as many years of clinical practice, he has been involved in post-graduate teaching and examining and regularly speaks at conferences and events.
Sergio holds Fellowships of the Academy of Dentistry International and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Academy of Australian & New Zealand Prosthodontists, the International College of Prosthodontists and is past-President of the NZ Association of Prosthodontists & Restorative Dentists. Sergio has been appointed by the Minister of Health to the NZ Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.
Chris Robertson – Orthodontist
With a doctorate in Dental Science, Chris has been treating orthodontic patients in Dunedin and Oamaru for many years. He also has a significant involvement in post-graduate education.
As well as providing orthodontic treatment, he is also a specialist in the fields of obstructive sleep apnoea and sleep disordered breathing. Chris invented the Tongue Stabilising Device which is sold worldwide. He has been a past speaker at the World Federation of Orthodontics and the American Sleep Disorders Association.
Warwick Duncan – Periodontist
Warwick is a registered specialist in the treatment of gum diseases and holds a doctorate in dental implants. He has over 30 years’ experience in clinical practice, research and tertiary education as well as extensive expertise in military and forensic dentistry.
Warwick holds Fellowships in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the International College of Dentists, is past-President of the New Zealand Society of Periodontology and current President of the New Zealand Society of Forensic Odontology. In 2017 he was appointed Honorary Dental Surgeon to the Governor General of New Zealand.
Ajith Polonowita – Oral Medicine Specialist
A registered specialist in Oral Medicine in both New Zealand and Australia, Ajith is the specialist consultant in oral medicine for the Canterbury District Health Board and holds academic university posts in New Zealand and Australia.
Ajith is a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and is past Vice President of the Oral Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has lectured extensively and published many articles.
Sunyoung Ma – Prosthodontist
Sunyoung is a registered prosthodontist with over 15 years of clinical, research and tertiary teaching experience. As a specialist prosthodontist, Sunyoung is skilled in all areas of prosthodontics providing patients with replacement of missing teeth (and associated tissues) and the restoration of natural teeth. Sunyoung's special clinical interests are in removable prosthodontics and dental implants.
Sunyoung is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, past-President of the New Zealand Association of Prosthodontists and Restorative Dentistry, and current New Zealand councilor of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists.
